Before You Attend
Welcome!
Thanks for visiting LighthouseChurch.me! The Lighthouse is led by Senior Pastor Dave Gregg, and is a vibrant, energetic church that not only understands the challenges you face in day to day life, but where you will find the tools to help you live it to the fullest. Whether you are just curious about church and about God or you are a committed follower of Jesus Christ, you’re welcome here. To help you as you prepare to visit with us, keep reading as we help answer some commonly asked questions. You can also visit our f.a.q. page, should you need more information.
“When are your services?”
Our Sunday worship experiences are held at 10:30 am. We also have a great K.I.D.S. Church program, held at the same time, for children 5-12 years old, and two fully staffed nurseries for our youngest guests.
“How do I get to the Lighthouse?”
We’re located just ¼ mile east of I-395 at exit 88 in Plainfield. Can’t miss it – throw a rock from the exit and we’re the only church you could hit (unless you’re really, really strong!).
“What can I expect on my first visit?”
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be made to feel welcome. Our parking team will direct you as you enter and can help you with any questions you might have. Once inside, our greeters will be waiting and ready to give directions and help you find your way around. As you enter the main doors, please feel free to stop by our Information Desk to learn more about the church and about our upcoming events.
“What is a Sunday worship experience like?”
From beginning to end, we’re committed to both honoring God and attracting people. Whether through contemporary worship, drama, or our talented musicians and singers, we are dedicated to an authentic and challenging presentation of God’s truth that speaks to today’s generation and to your needs.
Pastor Dave Gregg communicates in a way that speaks to both serious Christians and to genuine seekers of truth. Dave delivers passionate, direct, and honest messages focusing on the real call of Christ, and on how to apply His teachings, in order to accomplish God’s unique purpose for your life. After each message, there is a time of response through worship to allow you to apply the Word of God specifically to your home, work, relationships, and life. At the close of each service, join us downstairs for some free Starbucks coffee, bagels, and Baker’s Dozen doughnuts, as we really would love to get to know you as well!
“Where do I take my children?”
On Sunday mornings, you’ll find quality programs for your children, from birth through age 12. Our K.I.D.S. Church is located on the downstairs level, which can be easily accessed through the rear entrance of the church, or via the stairway to the left, once inside the front entrance. If this is your first visit, please check in with one of our great K.I.D.S. Church staff (they’re wearing the white K.I.D.S. Church T-shirts!) who will take down your child’s information and note his or her special needs of any kind (food allergies, physical or mental disabilities, etc.). For the littler ones, our nurseries (infant, toddler, and Pre-K) are located on the lower level, and parents of nursery age children are given a pager, so you can relax and simply enjoy the service, knowing you can be immediately notified, should your child have any need.
We are committed to every child regardless of any developmental issues or physical or mental disability. Our staff is trained in special needs and is prepared to minister to your child no matter what personal challenges he or she might be facing. Your child will experience church like never before, with games, music, puppets, and video, all designed to present God’s truth in fun and creative ways. They won’t want to miss a single service!
“What about teens?”
If you’re a student in 8th through 12th grades, the Lighthouse is serious about helping you grow in your walk with God! Every Friday from 7-11 pm, dv8 Student Ministries meets for an incredible time of worship and the Word, and for an opportunity to build friendships with other students who love Jesus. Dv8 Student Ministries is committed to bringing the message of God’s truth to the youth of Eastern CT, in a way that is both straightforward and applicable to the life of a teen! We also have Sunday Bible study at 9:30 am, and a mid-week class on Wednesdays at 7 pm.
